Precision Golf’s Chris Haarlow Chosen in Elite Group - U.S. Kids Golf Names ‘America’s Top 50 Kids Teachers’ - Instructors Represent Broad Spectrum of Golf Industry

NORCROSS, GA – Professionals who have dedicated their careers to developing youth in their communities dominate U.S. Kids Golf’s first list of “America’s Top 50 Kids Teachers.”

“This is a very experienced group of men and women who have made a commitment to helping kids not only learn the game of golf, but also develop a love for the game that lasts far beyond their days in junior golf,” said Dan Van Horn, founder and president of U.S. Kids Golf.

The 2004 list is the first compilation of “America’s Top 50 Kids Teachers” from U.S. Kids Golf. The list was compiled from nominations from golf professionals and golf industry independent sales representatives. The selection criteria included success in organizing and administering youth programs, as well as teaching.

The top 50 teachers will be recognized on Jan. 27 during the PGA Merchandise Show at a reception at the U.S. Kids Golf booth (No. 7527).

The Top 50 list includes teachers in 28 states who work at public, private, resort and municipal courses.

“The contributions of professionals who focus their time and energy on developing youth are often overlooked by the golf industry and sometimes even at their own course,” said John Godwin, director of player development for U.S. Kids Golf. “We think this recognition is not only well deserved but long overdue.”

U.S. Kids Golf is based in Norcross, GA, and manufactures equipment made specially for kids. In addition to more than 3,800 golf shops and retail locations in the U.S., the company’s products also are available in Europe, Canada, the Middle and Far East, South America, Mexico and Australia. Through the Personal Tee™ Golf Learning Program and its Local Tours, State Championships, Regional Championships and the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship, USKG also provides opportunities for instruction and competition.
