| Program Outline |
The Advanced Academy is designed to develop your game for the college level. The Academy operates throughout the year
and works towards preparing the junior's for their high school season and beyond. The Advanced Academy offers the most unique and
rewarding junior golf experience in North Carolina.
Since its inception, the program's goal has been to develop well-rounded junior golfers capable of realizing their full
potential. The comprehensive training program covers the technical aspects of the game and strengthens the mental and physical
aspects of every junior golfer's game. Based on our past experiences as professional, collegiate and junior golfers, Robert and
I have worked to develop a program that offers the best opportunity to accelerate players games as they work to play
collegiate golf.
Past participants have won five state championships & numerous junior golf titles while receiving collegiate golf scholarships.

College Prep Program
|
A ten-week program involving two-hour weekly sessions directed by Junior Academy Director Chris Haarlow
Additionally, participants will work with Sport Physiologist Dr. Mark Tobin and
Physical Trainer Wendel Lamason. Each junior receives a total game evaluation and plan of
improvement. With weekly reports, the juniors can follow their improvement and stay focused on their progress.
The mental aspects of the game are covered by one of the southeast’s leading sport psychologists. Based on his seven keys to
success, Dr. Tobin gears the golfers towards peak performance and goal setting to take their
games to the next level.
After teaching and working with Physical Trainer Wendel Lamason, we have studied numerous swings
and found several key areas that juniors need to focus their training. After evaluating these areas, each student receives
an individualized training program to follow throughout Academy.
The program also includes two playing lessons that provide the instructors and juniors the chance to train the mental aspects
learned through Dr. Tobin and develop stronger mental conditioning.

| Scoring Shots Program |
The Scoring Shots Program provides a six-week system to develop all shots needed to score better on the course. The
juniors learn how to control wedge distances using Robert Linville's Precision Short Game System. The session
runs in the late-Fall in preparation for the upcoming High Schools season.

Golf Trainer Wendel Lamason
|
Wendel Lamason, PT, MHS is a licensed physical therapist who specializes in golf fitness and
training and has worked with Robert Linville’s Precision Golf School since its inception. Wendel
is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Instructor and, in 1998, developed one of the first
formalized golf-specific fitness programs in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina.
Since then, he has worked with several players ranging from the PGA Tour, Buy.com Tour and other
mini-tours. In addition, Wendel has served as a consultant for major university and college teams
and junior golf schools. His goal is to provide individualized fitness and training programs for
the non-injured golfer and rehabilitation for the injured golfer. Preventing injuries and
enhancing golf performance can be accomplished by addressing each golfer’s physical limitations,
which may be preventing a more ideal swing. The result allows each golfer greater potential to
achieve his goals through enhanced swing efficiency, consistency, power and control.
Wendel can be contacted through Robert Linville’s Precision Golf School or by calling Deep
River Rehabilitation at (336) 625-3333 or via email at wlamason@drrehab.net.
